Community Development Appeal

Building the Foundations of Humanity. Transforming Landscapes of Poverty into Landscapes of Hope.

At Haidury Education & Welfare Trust, we believe that long-term change requires more than just temporary aid—it requires the physical foundations of a functioning society. Our Community Development Appeal is a comprehensive investment in the future. We build the permanent structures that provide safety, faith, health, and mobility to those who have been left behind.

The Best of All Charities

Water is the essence of life and the most fundamental of all human needs. In many of the remote regions where we work, families must survive on contaminated sources or travel hours every day just to find a single bucket. This lack of access doesn’t just cause thirst; it causes disease, prevents children from attending school, and keeps families trapped in a cycle of survival.

When you provide a well or a pump, you are giving a gift that provides life, health, and purification (Taharah) for prayer. It is a gift that is rewarded every time a person drinks, every time a mother cooks for her children, and every time a believer makes Wudu.

“Wealth is never diminished by charitable giving.”

(Reference: Sahih Muslim)

Sa’d ibn Ubadah reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet ﷺ said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet ﷺ said, “A drink of water.”

The Spiritual Reward of Building for the Ummah

In Islam, serving the community through construction and infrastructure is a sacred “Amanah” (Trust). Every brick laid, every well dug, and every path paved is an act of Sadaqah Jariyah  a charity that continues to earn you rewards as long as people benefit from it.

“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.”

(Reference: Sahih Muslim)

“The most beloved of people to Allah is the one who brings most benefit to people.”

(Reference: Al-Mu’jam al-Awsat)

“The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.”

(Reference: Ahmad)

The Five Pillars of Our Community Development

Water Wells & Pumps

Clean water is the source of all life. We install deep tube wells and hand pumps, providing safe water for drinking, cleaning, and agriculture.

“And We have made from water every living thing.”

(Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:30)

Shelter & Housing

Dignity begins with a safe home. We build and repair sturdy houses for widows, orphans, and the destitute, protecting them from extreme weather.

“And Allah has made for you in your homes a place of rest…”

(Surah An-Nahl, 16:80)

Masjid Building & Maintenance

The Masjid is the spiritual heart of the community. We construct and maintain sacred spaces that serve as centers for prayer, reflection, and Quranic education.

“The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day…”

(Surah At-Tawbah, 9:18)

School Building & Maintenance

Education is the key to a better future. We build and renovate safe, bright classrooms so that children can learn in a dignified environment.

“Allah will exalt those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees.”

(Surah Al-Mujadila, 58:11)

Roads & Pathways

In remote regions, a road is a lifeline to healthcare and education. We pave essential paths that connect isolated communities to the rest of the world.

“…And do good—that you may succeed.”

(Surah Al-Hajj, 22:77)

A Legacy That Never Ends

Long after we have left this world, the Masajid you helped build will still echo with the name of Allah, the wells will still provide life, and the schools will still be nurturing the minds of the Ummah.

“When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity), knowledge which is beneficial, or a righteous child who prays for him.”

(Reference: Sahih Muslim)
