In the immediate aftermath of a disaster, the clock starts ticking. Floodwaters contaminate local wells, and destroyed roads cut off supply chains to local markets. For survivors, the shock of the event is quickly followed by the desperate search for clean water and a basic meal. Without immediate intervention, dehydration and hunger can become as deadly as the disaster itself.
At Haidury Education & Welfare Trust, our Emergency Food & Water programme is built for speed. We provide rapid-response grants that fund the distribution of clean drinking water and Emergency Food Packs. These packs are specially designed to provide a family with the essential staples they need to survive when they have lost everything.

Our Grant-Making Process Includes
- Emergency Food Packs: Funding the assembly of essential parcels containing flour, rice, pulses, oil, and salt to sustain a displaced family for several weeks.
- Ready-to-Eat Kits: Providing high-energy, non-perishable food items (dates, biscuits, energy bars) for the first 48 hours when cooking is impossible.
- Emergency Water Trucking: Providing grants to transport large volumes of clean, filtered water to areas where local sources have been destroyed or contaminated.
- Clean Water Jerrycans: Providing families with safe, durable containers to store and transport water from distribution points back to their shelters.
- Nutritional Life-Kits: Supplying specialized food items for infants and the elderly, who are the most vulnerable to rapid malnutrition during a crisis.
