Constructing Foundations for Learning
A child’s environment significantly impacts their ability to learn. In many disadvantaged regions, schools are forced to operate in dilapidated structures that are structurally unsound or lack basic facilities like ventilation, lighting, and safe flooring. When a classroom is overcrowded or the roof leaks during the monsoon, the quality of education suffers, and the safety of the students is put at risk.
At Haidury Education & Welfare Trust, our School Building & Maintenance programme ensures that every child has a safe, clean, and inspiring place to study. We provide structural grants to rehabilitate aging schools and construction grants to build new classrooms where they are needed most. By investing in the bricks and mortar of education, we build a permanent foundation for the future of our community.
“The one who plants a tree under whose shade he will never sit, has begun to understand the meaning of life—and the one who builds a school for children he will never meet, has understood the heart of Sadaqah.”

Why These Grants Matter

Structural repairs prevent accidents and ensure that schools can withstand harsh weather conditions, keeping students protected.
Increases Enrollment
Parents are more likely to send their children—especially daughters—to schools that are clean, safe, and have private sanitation facilities.
Enhances Focus & Comfort
A well-maintained classroom with proper furniture and lighting allows students to focus entirely on their lessons rather than their physical discomfort.
Sadaqah Jariyah
